Enabling Hybrid Learning Across Campus for University of Dundee

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the University of Dundee urgently needed to adapt to hybrid teaching. They faced the huge task of equipping many teaching spaces to support both in-person and remote students. We worked closely with their Estates and IT teams to quickly deliver a standard, easy-to-use solution for blended learning.

  • Seamless Transition to Hybrid: We helped the University quickly and effectively adapt, so they could keep delivering high-quality education to all students, no matter where they were learning from.
  • Engaging Learning Experience: Remote students now get a much more immersive experience thanks to clear video and audio. They can participate in classroom discussions in real-time, just like those in the room.
  • Flexible Teaching for Staff: Instructors can now deliver engaging lessons to both in-person and remote students simultaneously, using a user-friendly and reliable technology solution. This gave them huge flexibility.
  • Improved Accessibility: Our solutions expanded learning opportunities for students who couldn’t come to campus, making education more accessible to everyone.
  • Future-Proof Spaces: We’ve created adaptable learning environments that can support many different teaching styles, well beyond the immediate needs of the pandemic.

“Streamtec were an invaluable partner in our rapid transition to hybrid learning. Their team worked collaboratively with us… and provided a solution that was both technically robust and remarkably user-friendly… This project has not only addressed our immediate needs but has also laid a strong foundation for flexible learning at the University of Dundee moving forward.” – Douglas McLeod, Product Engineer (Learning Spaces Technology), University of Dundee
